High HeelsHigh heel lift at the back of a running stride helps to increase stride length. This is an exagerrated running style where the heels are lifted significantly higher than normal. The combination of high knees at the front and high heels at the back is exactly what we are aiming at to increaase stride length. Run tall and avoid the tendancy to lean forwards. This drill can be done whilst running at a normal speed. It's less intense than the High Knees drill, so should be done over longer distances (50-200m) with walk or jog recoveries. 4-8 reps. |
